II - 8 Error Messages

The following table provides a complete list of error messages that

may be received from the ND 780 DRO.
An explanation of each error message is provided in the following

table.

DRO Error Message

Explanation

Power was off.

Press any key to

continue.

ND 780 power was just cycled.

Contamination & Frequency Error:

Press C to clear error.

Contamination, and frequency errors occurred at corresponding encoder. User

intervention to monitor, and/or correct the encoder.

Contamination Error:

Press C to clear

error.

Contamination error occurred at corresponding encoder. User intervention to

monitor, and/or correct the encoder.

Frequency error:

Press C to clear error. Frequency error occurred at corresponding encoder. User intervention to monitor,

and/or correct the encoder.

Miscount error:

Press C to clear error.

Miscount error occurred at corresponding encoder. User intervention to monitor,

and/or correct the encoder.

Display Overflow error:

Move within

display range.

The encoder is currently out of the display range specified by the user. Move the

encoder to within the display range, or modify the encoder display.

Error:

The valid range for number of

holes is 1-99.

The number of holes defined for the current pattern is out of range. User must

adjust the number of holes.

Error:

The radius must be greater than

0.0.

The user defined radius must be greater than zero to define a circle.

Error:

The spacing must be greater than

0.0.

The spacing between holes in a pattern must be greater than zero to define a

pattern.

Error:

The start and end points can not

be the same.

The start, and end points of the field must be unique to define a line.

Error:

The distance from the center is

not equal to the radius.

The distance from the center value is invalid, and must be modified by the user.

Error:

The ARCCOS function can only

operate on values from - 1 to 1.

Range error on the value to fetch the arccos of.
